Laura Weldon recently sent me a link to Animated Engines. The site was first created in 2000 and offers a variety of engine animations. That is interesting enough, but then the creator also shares HOW the animations were created in the about section of the site.

I love to scour second hand shops when I need a new piece of furniture. This week-end I found a lovely end table and when I was cleaning it at home, I was happy to learn it was crafted by a company in North Carolina. What does this have to do with a blog post here at the HEM Homeschooling Resources blog? This afternoon I happened upon a really interesting site, Craft Revival: Shaping Western North Carolina Past and Present that explains in part why I was so delighted to find a North Carolina made product.
